Strategy Maintains Bitcoin Holdings, Expands Cash Reserves Amid Volatility
Strategy, a U.S.-listed company, maintained its Bitcoin holdings without any purchases or sales. Instead, it focused on strengthening its financial structure by expanding dollar reserves and conducting share buybacks.
According to Chairman Michael Saylor, the company added $150 million to its dollar reserves and repurchased $132 million worth of STRC preferred stock as of August 17.
The expansion of dollar reserves extended Strategy's 'USD Duration' by 41 days to 2.8 years, a metric measuring how long current dollar reserves can cover dividend payments.
As of August 16, Strategy held approximately 840,447 BTC, valued at around $53.3 billion, acquired at an average price of $75,385, representing an investment of roughly $10 billion more than the current market value.
