Strategy May Resume Bitcoin Buying Amid Price Rebound

Strategy, a company led by Michael Saylor, may resume its weekly bitcoin purchases after a two-month pause. The news comes after Saylor posted a message on X (formerly Twitter) saying 'We're back' on August 30.

This phrase is being interpreted as a signal that Strategy is restarting its corporate accumulation of Bitcoin. Over the past two months, Strategy stopped buying Bitcoin and focused on strengthening its balance sheet by stabilizing preferred shares and securing $5.1 billion in dollar reserves.

During this time, Bitcoin prices were increasing the burden for Strategy's large holdings, which were initially in a book valuation loss zone. However, with recent macro trends, Bitcoin has rebounded above $80,000 and is currently trading above $78,000.

Strategy holds 844,447 Bitcoin at an average purchase price of about $75,385. As Bitcoin's price increased, Strategy's overall position also moved back into a valuation gain zone.
