Strategy Moves $297M in Bitcoin Amid Possible Sale Speculation
Strategy, the world's largest publicly traded corporate holder of Bitcoin, has sparked market speculation by transferring $297 million worth of the cryptocurrency to external wallets. The move, which took place over nine hours on September 28, saw 3,568 Bitcoin moved from its existing wallet to another wallet.
The transfer drew attention as it coincided with a possible sale, although Lookonchain, an on-chain analytics firm, has not confirmed whether the large transfer was tied to a sale or simply a move to a new wallet. Strategy had previously disclosed that it bought an additional 1,665 Bitcoin for about $142.7 million last week, from September 21 to September 27, bringing its total holdings to 847,666 Bitcoin, more than 4% of Bitcoin's maximum supply.
Strategy's move comes as the cryptocurrency market continues to navigate uncertainty and volatility. The exact intentions behind Strategy's transfer remain unclear, but it has undoubtedly piqued the interest of market observers and speculators alike.
