Strategy Raises $2 Billion from Common Stock Sale, No Bitcoin Purchases Made
Strategy, formerly known as MicroStrategy, has raised US$2.01 billion through the sale of common stock in the week ending August 23.
The company sold 18,261,118 shares of MSTR class A common stock at a net value of US$2.01 billion, with no Bitcoin purchases or sales made during this period.
Strategy still holds 840,447 BTC, acquired for an aggregate US$63.36 billion at an average price of US$75,385 per coin.
The proceeds from the sale were used to repurchase 1,431,212 STRC shares and fund the USD Reserve, with US$300 million allocated to this reserve and US$136.4 million used for share repurchases.
