Strategy Reenters Bitcoin Market as Rate Jitters Persist

Bitcoin maintained its price near $78,387.3 on Tuesday after corporate holder Strategy resumed buying the cryptocurrency for the first time in two months.

The purchase of 4,603 coins worth approximately $368.7 million was funded through the sale of $602.8 million in common stock and marked a shift from Strategy's previous selling streak since late-June.

However, crypto market gains were tempered by concerns over higher interest rates and ongoing U.S.-Iran tensions.

The Federal Reserve's commitment to its 2% annual inflation target has led to increased expectations for a September rate hike, while the Labor Department reported that job openings fell short of forecasts in July, further complicating the Fed's dual mandate.

Additionally, the resumption of military strikes between the U.S. and Iran sent oil prices surging, adding upward pressure on inflation expectations.
