Strategy Repurchases $139M of STRC Preferred Stock, Maintains Bitcoin Holdings
Strategy, the world's largest corporate holder of Bitcoin, made significant moves last week. The company announced that it repurchased an additional $139 million worth of its preferred stock STRC, extending its capital structure management efforts.
The purchase brings Strategy's total STRC holdings to a considerable amount, allowing the company to maintain control over its financial obligations. Notably, Strategy revealed that it holds $6.4 billion in dollar-denominated assets, which could cover financial commitments for approximately 3.9 years without relying on Bitcoin prices or new fundraising.
Furthermore, Strategy's 'USD Duration' metric indicates a robust financial position, with the company's current dollar assets capable of covering dividends and interest payments for roughly 3 years.
In addition to its STRC holdings and dollar-denominated assets, Strategy also reported that it holds 845,050 Bitcoin tokens. The company made no Bitcoin purchases or sales last week, maintaining its unchanged token holdings.
