Strategy Resumes Bitcoin Buying with $370M Purchase
Strategy, the largest crypto treasury, has resumed buying Bitcoin after a 10-week pause. The company added 4,603 BTC for approximately $370 million between Aug. 24 and Aug. 30, bringing its total holdings to 845,050 BTC worth about $66 billion.
The acquisition was financed through Strategy's MSTR at-the-market offering, which generated net proceeds of $602.8 million. Of this amount, $369.7 million was allocated towards Bitcoin purchases, with an average price of $80,318 per coin.
Strategy's BTC holdings have already generated over $2 billion in unrealized gains. The company also repurchased 1.56 million STRC shares for $151.8 million and made STRC dividend payments totaling $50.7 million.
