Strategy Sells $104.7M in Bitcoin as Other Firms Boost Crypto Holdings
Strategy, the largest corporate Bitcoin holder, has sold 1,638 BTC for ~$104.7 million to fund dividends and build its cash reserves. This is the third time Strategy has sold BTC in 2026.
The coins were sold between July 27 and August 2 at an average price of $63,957 each, which is a drop of $10,000 from their average cost of $75,419. The proceeds will be used to purchase preferred-stock dividends and buybacks of some of its STRC shares.
Meanwhile, other companies are taking advantage of the current market conditions to increase their crypto holdings. Strive has purchased 20 more BTC at a discount price of $63,191 each, totaling $1.3 million. This brings Strive's total Bitcoin holdings to 20,020 BTC, making it the seventh-largest public corporate holder.
American Bitcoin has also increased its crypto treasury beyond 8,000 BTC, with a record mining output in Q2. The company continues to buy more Bitcoin despite its stock price tumbling over 95% from its post-IP peak. Bitmine Immersion Technologies, on the other hand, is focusing on increasing its Ether treasury, which now accounts for 4.8% of Ethereum's total token supply.
