Strategy, the world's largest corporate holder of Bitcoin, has continued its shift in strategy by selling more of its cryptocurrency holdings and issuing new shares. The company sold 1,690 Bitcoin for approximately $108.6 million during the seven days ended Aug. 9, marking its second consecutive week of Bitcoin sales.

This move comes after years of accumulating Bitcoin as part of its strategy. Strategy's executive chairman and co-founder, Michael Saylor, has been a vocal advocate for investing in Bitcoin. However, the company is now building up a multibillion-dollar cash reserve by issuing new shares and selling some of its Bitcoin holdings.

The transactions have helped push Strategy's U.S. dollar reserve to approximately $4.65 billion, according to its latest filing with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission. This represents a significant increase from just $871 million in May, when the company announced it would replenish the reserve over time using different parts of its capital structure.
