Strategy Sells More Bitcoin as It Tracks 200-Week Moving Average
Michael Saylor's company Strategy has been selling Bitcoin for several weeks now. In the latest sale, it offloaded 1,638 coins worth $104.73 million at an average price of around $63,000, reducing its total holdings to 842,138 BTC.
The average cost basis of these coins is a staggering $75,419 per coin, which means Strategy is selling at a realized loss on recently acquired coins. The company's USD reserve has grown to $4 billion after adding $250 million last week, signaling a deliberate pivot toward liquidity management alongside Bitcoin holdings.
Strategy is now tracking the 200-week moving average of Bitcoin's price on its website, which currently stands at around $63,770. This level represents a significant technical indicator in crypto and has historically marked major cycle bottoms. By highlighting this indicator publicly, Saylor may be signaling that he views the current price as near a long-term bottom.
