Strategy Snaps Up 1,665 Bitcoin and Buys Back Millions in Own Stock
Strategy, a company that manages digital assets and other investments, has continued its capital-management program by acquiring a significant amount of Bitcoin and repurchasing its own stock. Between September 21st and September 27th, Strategy acquired 1,665 BTC for $142.7 million at an average price of $85,681 per coin, including fees and expenses.
This purchase brings Strategy's total holdings to 847,666 BTC, with a total acquisition cost of $63.95 billion and an average cost of $75,437 per coin as of September 27th. The company also repurchased $151.7 million worth of its STRC preferred stock during the same period.
In addition to these transactions, Strategy sold 1,469,165 shares of its MSTR common stock through an at-the-market offering, generating $246.2 million in net proceeds. These funds were allocated towards the Bitcoin purchase and STRC repurchases.
