Strategy Soars 27% as Bitcoin Revival Lifts Digital Credit Market
Strategy's stock price has rallied by 27% over the past five days, outperforming Bitcoin's 19% gain. This significant increase is largely due to Strategy's substantial Bitcoin holdings, which have generated a $1.4 billion unrealized gain.
As of Friday, Strategy owns 840,447 BTC, acquired at an average price of $75,385 per coin. The company has been strategically managing its assets by selling some Bitcoin while building a large U.S. dollar reserve, which provides 2.8 years of coverage for dividend payments and other obligations.
The recent rally in Strategy's stock is also linked to the broader digital credit market's recovery alongside Bitcoin. Rafael Schultze-Kraft, co-founder of Glassnode, noted that breakouts like this have historically preceded gains of nearly 85% over six months.
However, traders remain cautious, as prediction markets suggest they are waiting for further confirmation before making a move. The company's recent performance suggests a potential for continued growth, but it remains 17.23% below its 200-day simple moving average of $143.95, indicating longer-term challenges.
