Strategy Stock Jumps on Boosted USD Reserve
Strategy, once a sleepy software firm turned by Michael Saylor into the world's largest corporate Bitcoin holder, saw its stock jump over 7.5% to close at $98.5 after announcing a boost in its USD reserve to $3.75 billion.
The company has been steadily building this cash fortress since December 2025, when it established a reserve of $1.44 billion through at-the-market common stock sales.
By July 13, 2026, Strategy had sold roughly 4.8 million MSTR shares to raise an additional $466.7 million, pushing the total reserve to around $3 billion.
This latest increase in the cash reserve is a continuation of this same playbook, with annualized obligations sitting at an estimated $1.76 billion. This means Strategy now has roughly two years of runway before it would need to think about where its next dollar comes from.
