Strategy Stock Rises as Company Bolsters Cash Reserves and Sees Profit from BTC Holding
Strategy Inc's stock rose by 1.6% in morning trading after the company announced significant capital management actions. The announcement revealed a new $1.59 billion USD cash liquidity pool under its Digital Credit Capital Framework, which will be used for various purposes including bitcoin acquisitions and preferred stock dividends.
The company also disclosed that it raised approximately $2.01 billion by selling 18.26 million shares of its Class A common stock through its at-the-market offering program between August 17 and August 23, 2026. This move pushed Strategy's total USD Reserve to $5.10 billion and overall dollar liquidity to roughly $6.69 billion.
Notably, the company allocated $136.4 million to repurchase 1.43 million shares of its STRC preferred stock, completing $483.4 million in buybacks under that program. A separate $1 billion authorization for MSTR common-stock repurchases remains fully unused, indicating potential future support for the share price.
The company's 840,447 BTC holding has swung back into unrealized profit territory as Bitcoin's price climbed above its acquisition cost of approximately $75,385 per coin.
