Strategy Stock Surges as Bitcoin Buying Resumes Amid Growing Revenue
Strategy Inc's stock has risen by 1.27 percent to $170.64 on Nasdaq as of September 23, 2026, largely due to the company's return to buying Bitcoin. Over a week-long period from September 14 to 20, Strategy added 950 BTC to its holdings at an average price of $75,416 per coin, bringing its total investment in Bitcoin to $63.8 billion.
The value of these holdings is now around $72 billion, according to data from CCN, which reflects a paper gain of over $8 billion since the company's acquisition cost. This stands in stark contrast to the second quarter, when falling Bitcoin prices resulted in an unrealized loss of more than $8.2 billion.
Strategy's revenue for its quarter ended June 30, 2026, grew by 6.9 percent year-over-year to $122.37 million, although its adjusted quarterly earnings per share (EPS) came in at a loss of $24.45, exceeding analyst expectations of a $2.19 loss.
B Riley has raised its price target for Strategy's stock from $175 to $195 while maintaining a 'Buy' rating, but the same report described the recent crypto rally as primarily driven by liquidity and sentiment rather than fundamental factors.
