Strategy Surpasses Most Financial Firms in Total Reserve Capital

Strategy Inc.'s Executive Chairman Michael Saylor has stated that the company now holds more Total Reserve Capital than every financial services firm in the S&P 500 except Berkshire Hathaway. This assertion, made on September 2, 2026, uses a custom metric that combines the market value of Strategy's bitcoin holdings with its U.S. dollar cash and reserve assets.

Saylor's remark refers to the company's growing Bitcoin reserve, which could pressure traditional banks to reconsider their crypto exposure as competitors.

Strategy's Total Reserve Capital has reached $72.2 billion, consisting of approximately $6.7 billion in dollar-denominated assets and roughly $65.5 billion in BTC holdings. This figure is significantly lower than Berkshire Hathaway's conventional liquid-reserve total of around $360 billion as of June 30, 2026.
