Strategy's Bitcoin Holdings Surpass $2.8 Billion in Profit
Strategy, led by Michael Saylor, is sitting on a significant paper profit from its massive Bitcoin holdings. With the price of Bitcoin climbing to around $79,007 on Sunday, Strategy's 840,447 BTC is now worth roughly $66.4 billion, marking a 4.4% gain over its average purchase price of $75,653.
This puts Strategy's position more than $2.8 billion in the green, according to CoinGecko data. The firm's Bitcoin stash has been valued above its cost for several months now, after being underwater in July when Bitcoin sagged toward $58,000.
Saylor marked the turnaround with a 'We're Back' post on X, stoking speculation of renewed buying. However, Strategy hasn't added to its holdings in about two months, and Saylor's charts have historically served as teasers ahead of weekly Bitcoin purchases announced on Monday mornings.
