Strategy's Bitcoin Strategy Shifts from One-Way Accumulation

Strategy's Bitcoin holdings have undergone a significant transformation this summer. The company sold approximately 6,916 BTC to use as liquidity for preferred-stock dividends, cash reserves, and security repurchases.

This move breaks with the 'one-way accumulation' narrative that characterized Strategy's earlier approach to its treasury model, according to crypto market-data firm Kaiko.

However, rather than abandoning Bitcoin altogether, Strategy has since turned around and acquired 4,603 BTC for approximately $369.7 million between August 24th and 30th.

This purchase was made at an average price of $80,318 per Bitcoin and lifted the company's total holdings to 845,050 BTC, acquired for about $63.73 billion.
