Strategy's Month-Long Bitcoin Buying Pause Sparks Concern Among Investors

Michael Saylor's Strategy has not purchased any Bitcoin in over a month, marking its longest buying pause since 2024. The company's last acquisition came on June 22, when it added 520 BTC at an average price of $67,068 per coin.

Strategy has been building its cash position through stock sales instead of adding more Bitcoin to its treasury. In recent filings, the company revealed it had sold out $544.5 million in shares of MSTR, allowing it to retain flexibility in managing its finances without changing its massive Bitcoin holding.

Peter Schiff criticized Strategy's declining Bitcoin yield after the company issued more shares without purchasing additional Bitcoin. Schiff pointed out that the yield fell from 13.3% in May to 4.5%, arguing that investors may prefer holding Bitcoin directly.
