OUSD, a dollar-pegged stablecoin issued by Stripe subsidiary Bridge, made its debut with five founding partners committing over $1 billion in liquidity. These partners are Coinbase, Mastercard, Shopify, Stripe, and Visa, who have invested in Open Standard, the network behind OUSD.

The five companies will support various services such as payment orchestration, settlement, trading, foreign exchange, wallets, and card services through OUSD. Businesses and developers can mint or redeem the token at a 1-to-1 ratio with the US dollar without any fees.

OUSD is set to operate natively on Base, Ethereum, Solana, and Tempo, with initial availability through Coinbase, Kraken, and Uniswap. Coinbase integration is scheduled for October 1.
