Strive Accelerates Bitcoin Accumulation Push Toward Second-Place Goal
Strive has accelerated its pace towards surpassing Twenty One as the second-largest public bitcoin holder. The company added 1,355 BTC to its treasury for around $107.7 million between September 14 and 18, bringing its total holdings to 26,355 BTC. At an average price of $79,475 per BTC, Strive's current bitcoin stash is worth over $2.25 billion, with each coin trading at approximately $85,600.
To reach Twenty One's 43,514 BTC, Strive needs another 17,160 BTC. With 14 full weeks remaining in the year, it would need to acquire roughly 1,226 BTC per week to achieve its goal. This means that if everything goes as planned, Strive could overtake MARA by November and take third place from Metaplanet.
The acquisition also marked the beginning of warrant exercises tied to Strive's common stock (ASST). Holders exercised nearly 786,000 warrants last week, generating around $21.2 million in gross proceeds. This is a significant portion of the money raised during the week, with SATA accounting for almost 58%.
