Strive Adds 2000 Bitcoin to Treasury in Latest Purchase
Strive, Inc. revealed in an October 5, 2026 SEC filing that it had acquired an additional 2,000 bitcoin between September 28 and October 2, 2026. The company spent approximately $169 million on the purchase, with an average price of roughly $84,422 per coin, including fees.
The latest buy boosted Strive’s total bitcoin holdings to 29,462 BTC as of October 2, 2026, up from 28,000 BTC held on September 30. The company has been consistently filing weekly updates since it adopted bitcoin as its primary treasury reserve asset earlier in 2026.
Strive’s approach involves using capital markets access, such as equity issuance, to fund regular bitcoin purchases rather than relying solely on operating cash flow. This strategy has drawn both praise and skepticism, with critics questioning whether some companies are taking on excessive risk by repeatedly tapping capital markets for purchases regardless of price.
Despite being well behind larger holders like Strategy, Strive’s consistent weekly buying has made it one of the more closely watched corporate bitcoin accumulators. The company’s disclosure arrived alongside similar updates from other publicly traded firms, highlighting the steady demand for bitcoin from corporate treasuries.
