Strive Boosts Bitcoin Holdings to 25,000 BTC with $36.6 Million Purchase
Nasdaq-listed Bitcoin treasury company Strive added 469 BTC to its holdings in early September, bringing its total to 25,000 BTC. The purchase was made between Sept. 8 and Sept. 11 at an average price of $77,954 per Bitcoin, including fees and expenses.
The buy was funded entirely through the sale of SATA perpetual preferred stock, which has seen its notional value surpass $1 billion. Strive reported holding $204.2 million in cash and cash equivalents as of Sept. 11, alongside 505,000 shares of Strategy's STRC preferred stock.
The company's shares jumped more than 7% on Monday, extending a rally that has seen the stock price double over the past month. Strive's market capitalization now stands at around $2.5 billion, surpassing that of Metaplanet despite holding substantially less Bitcoin.
