Strive CEO Predicts Bitcoin at $500,000 by 2030
Strive, Inc. (ASST) CEO Matt Cole made a bold prediction during an interview with What Bitcoin Did, stating that Bitcoin (BTC) could reach $500,000 by the end of 2030. This would mark a nearly sixfold increase from its current price of around $86,000. Cole also expressed optimism about Bitcoin’s long-term prospects, suggesting that its next bull market will significantly outperform the 2024-2025 rally, which he described as “a very disappointing bull market” for Bitcoin enthusiasts.
Cole attributed Bitcoin’s underperformance during the recent rally to its failure to outpace gold, an asset it should have surpassed as an emerging form of money. He emphasized that investors often focus too much on short-term gains, overlooking how returns accumulate over time. Despite the mild downturn, with a drop of about 50% compared to the 80% declines seen in past cycles, Cole believes Bitcoin is entering a “super cycle” characterized by smaller crashes.
Cole’s outlook is tied to the U.S. debt load and the potential for a weaker dollar. He expects the biggest decline in the dollar's value in Bitcoin’s history over the next three to seven years, as measured by the U.S. Dollar Index (DXY). However, he clarified that he does not predict the failure of the dollar but rather a significant devaluation. ASST stock rose over 1% in pre-market trading, forming a golden cross in early September, a bullish technical signal where the 50-day moving average moved above the 200-day moving average.
Despite the positive technical indicators, retail sentiment around ASST remained in the ‘bearish’ zone, with low levels of chatter. ASST has seen a 155% increase this year but has lost around 41% in the last 12 months.
