Strive Doubles Down on Bitcoin Accumulation with $107.7 Million Purchase
Strive, a Dallas-based bitcoin treasury company, made its latest move in accumulating BTC by purchasing 1,355 coins between September 14 and September 18. The acquisition was made at an average price of $79,475 per coin, totaling approximately $107.7 million. This significant purchase brings Strive's total holdings to 26,355 BTC, a substantial increase from its previous 25,000 BTC.
The company funded this latest accumulation through the issuance of Class A shares, which rose by about 2.07 million. This trend of using equity sales to fund bitcoin purchases is similar to that seen in other publicly traded treasuries like Strategy's STRC preferred stock holdings.
Strive's decision to continue buying BTC, even as prices climbed towards multi-month highs, suggests a long-term commitment to accumulating the asset. The company's previous disclosed buy of 469 BTC in mid-September was more than doubled with this latest purchase, further solidifying its position as one of the largest corporate bitcoin holders outside the mining sector.
Strategy, another public company, also made headlines by purchasing 950 BTC on September 21, marking its first acquisition since August. This parallel disclosure highlights how a small group of publicly traded firms is turning bitcoin into a recurring balance-sheet allocation, bought on a schedule rather than timed to market trends.
