Strive Expands Bitcoin Holdings with Third-Largest Purchase
Strive has completed its third-largest Bitcoin purchase, acquiring 2,000 BTC for $169 million last week. The transaction was conducted at an average price of $84,422 per Bitcoin, bringing the company’s total holdings to 29,462 BTC. This purchase was the second-largest this year, following a record acquisition of 2,500 BTC in late May and early June for $185.2 million.
The largest holding, however, came from a merger with Semler Scientific, which transferred 5,816-5,817 BTC (valued at $675 million) to Strive. Strive CEO Matt Cole revealed that 61.5% of the capital raised for this purchase came from SATA, with warrants generating $56.7 million. The company’s average acquisition cost for all Bitcoin holdings ranges between $90,400 and $90,700.
Despite MicroStrategy's recent slower pace in Bitcoin accumulation, Strive has extended its weekly purchase streak to three consecutive weeks. In contrast, MicroStrategy's latest buy was significantly smaller, at just 334 BTC. The company’s aggressive accumulation strategy continues to stand out in the corporate Bitcoin space.
