Strive Outbids Strategy in Bitcoin Acquisition

Strategy (NASDAQ: MSTR) has resumed buying Bitcoin (BTC-USD), but Strive (NYSE: ASST) stole the spotlight this week by acquiring more of the cryptocurrency than Strategy did. Strive purchased 1,355 Bitcoin at $79,475 each, increasing its cash position to $229.6 million and its share count.

This acquisition marks a notable moment in the competitive crypto treasury space, with analysts noting that Strategy's previous approach was to raise cash by any means necessary and then immediately purchase Bitcoin regardless of price. However, this strategy grew increasingly complex, and near the bottom of the bear market, Strategy was forced to shore up its balance sheet rather than continue buying aggressively.

Strive, on the other hand, has adopted a more effective approach through its preferred product Zeta, which has traded at or above par. This has allowed Strive to continue purchasing Bitcoin at a pace that Strategy cannot currently match.
