Sui Basecamp 2026 Shines Light on Agentic Economy

The Sui ecosystem's flagship annual gathering, Sui Basecamp 2026, took place at Marina Bay Sands in Singapore on October 7-8 alongside TOKEN2049.

This year's program centered around the agentic economy, featuring instant settlement, autonomous payments, private transactions, stable digital dollars, and post-quantum security.

The Sui community worldwide was invited to attend, with speakers from inside and outside the Sui ecosystem sharing insights on the rise of the agentic economy.

Kostas Chalkias, Co-Founder and Chief Cryptographer at Mysten Labs, led a live attempt to break Sui's standing record of 6,086,766 transactions per second (TPS).

The test aimed to mirror real-world conditions, with AI agents and users transacting across games, payments, and chat using programmable tunnels.

CertiK served as the independent auditor for the attempt, logging every transaction in a cryptographic transcript for post-test verification and formal reconfirmation.
