Sui Network Demonstrates Scalable Atomic Transactions for Real-Time AI Decision-Making
Sui Network has made significant strides in demonstrating its capabilities for advanced AI blockchain execution. At its Basecamp event, Sui showcased its Programmable Transaction Blocks (PTBs) that can execute up to 1,024 Move function calls atomically in a single transaction. This allows complex multi-step operations to complete fully or roll back entirely.
The PTB architecture is particularly suited for AI agents that need to authenticate, fetch data, and settle payments without human oversight at every step. Transactions on Sui finalize in approximately 400 milliseconds, fast enough for real-time autonomous AI decision-making.
In a controlled experiment, Sui achieved a peak throughput of 6,086,766 transactions per second, driven by AI agent activity. The network's strategic partnership with Google's Agentic Payments Protocol (AP2) is also significant, as it enables secure and verifiable AI-driven transactions on its blockchain.
The significance of this development lies in the potential for widespread adoption across AI commerce use cases. With Sui's atomic transaction architecture becoming a settlement layer underneath AP2, the network is well-positioned to become a leading infrastructure provider for AI-driven commerce.
