Sui's DeepBook App Launches One-Minute Prediction Markets for Bitcoin Traders
Sui's DeepBook App has launched in alpha on the Sui mainnet, bringing prediction markets with one-minute expiry windows to individual traders. The app combines spot markets, margin trading, and ultra-short-term prediction markets under one roof, making it a unique offering in the DeFi space.
The Predict feature allows traders to take speculative positions on Bitcoin price movements with expiry windows as brief as 60 seconds. This is significantly shorter than traditional prediction markets, which often deal in days or weeks. DeepBook's approach differs from existing platforms by being price-based rather than event-based and using a continuous strike model.
The shared liquidity layer, powered by a central limit order book (CLOB), has already processed over $20B in cumulative trading volume across more than 15 applications on the Sui network. The CLOB serves as infrastructure for these applications, providing a direct interface to individual traders for the first time.
The app's launch has been highly anticipated, with a waitlist surpassing 150,000 traders during its testing period on Sui's testnet in May 2026. This suggests strong interest in the platform and its unique features.
