Sunday's Close Sets Stage for Bitcoin Breakout or Crash
Bitcoin's price is currently trading near $64,500, placing it between two critical levels: $65,000 resistance above and $62,500 support below. The weekend's close will decide whether Bitcoin finishes the week within its recovery range or beneath the level that has kept the bullish structure alive.
The July 24 drop pushed Bitcoin under $65,000, but a Sunday close above this level would validate the reclaim and make it seem like a failed breakdown. On the other hand, a close below $62,500 would weaken three ideas at once: the move above $66,000 as a genuine range breakout, the repeated defense of $60,000 as a durable bottom, and the recovery's ability to withstand weak institutional demand alongside a difficult macro backdrop.
Barron's technical assessment turned more constructive on Bitcoin's setup this month, provided it stays above $62,500. Holding this level keeps intact the sequence of higher lows that made the July recovery look real in the first place. The same assessment identified an inverse head-and-shoulders breakout pivot near $67,000, a pattern that only stays valid as long as Bitcoin holds the $62,500 floor beneath it.
