Justin Sun is in the midst of a public dispute with his ex-girlfriend, Jing Tian. The two were previously embroiled in a controversy over betrothal gifts, which Sun has since sued to retrieve. Sun recently reached out to Hu Xijin, a prominent Chinese journalist and writer known as 'the troll king', to express his grievances against Jing.

Hu Xijin wrote an article addressing the Sun-Jing drama, concluding that Sun's actions are hypocritical and unlikely to garner sympathy from the public. In response, Sun took to social media platform X to air his complaints again, claiming that he is not alone in facing issues related to paying a 'bride price' or 'childbearing price'. However, Hu Xijin responded with a tongue-in-cheek comment, suggesting that Sun value the opinions of the Chinese public but seem unwilling to engage with them directly.

The controversy surrounding Sun's liquidity and ability to access his investments has also resurfaced. On social media, he appeared to suggest that he is indeed illiquid, hyperconcentrated in crypto, and reluctant to cash out or diversify his assets.
