Supercycle Finance Unveils New Bitcoin Treasury Model with Distressed Token Acquisition
Supercycle Finance has launched a bitcoin treasury model that aims to outperform the cryptocurrency by buying at low points and selling at highs. The company, founded by Michael Terpin, will follow a strategy of accumulating BTC on dips and selling it when prices are high, while holding onto U.S. Treasuries and other interest-bearing assets in between.
The strategy is based on Terpin's 'four seasons' philosophy, which involves buying bitcoin when the market is down and selling holdings when prices are high. This approach differs from most treasury companies that focus solely on accumulating bitcoin.
Supercycle Finance plans to raise up to $75 million through a proposed Reg A offering, with the majority of the funds going towards buying BTC. Terpin also mentioned that the company's strategy could support much higher amounts in the future.
The launch comes alongside news that Supercycle has acquired Presearch, a privacy-centric and crypto-fueled search platform, as part of its plan to acquire distressed tokenized projects.
