SWC Endorses Bipartisan Slate After CLARITY Act Falls Short
Stand With Crypto (SWC), an American crypto advocacy organization backed by Coinbase, has unveiled its expanded slate of midterm endorsements following the US Senate's failure to pass the CLARITY Act. The bill, which aimed to provide a clear regulatory framework for the digital asset market, received 49 yes votes but fell short of the 60 required.
In response, SWC is shifting its focus to supporting pro-crypto candidates in the midterm elections. The organization has endorsed over 30 sitting House members who voted in favor of comprehensive digital asset framework bills, including Representatives Shomari Figures (D-AL-02) and Mariannette Miller-Meeks (R-IA-01).
The SWC also backs Senate candidates Ashley Hinson (R-Iowa) and Chris Pappas (D-New Hampshire), as well as Republican Sen. Jon Husted of Ohio, who is running against crypto skeptic Sherrod Brown.
