Sweat Foundation Announces End of Sweat Wallet and SWEAT Token on Dec 30, 2026

The Sweat Foundation Ltd announced that their non-custodial wallet, Sweat Wallet, and the associated SWEAT token will cease to exist in their current form by December 30th, 2026. This decision comes after a prolonged downturn in crypto markets, loss of exchange listings for SWEAT, the cost of a security incident in April 2026, and slowing growth in new users.

The team had previously been working towards sustainable profitability but ultimately decided to end the current model with 90 days' notice. This is more generous than their terms allow, which would normally require only 14 days' notice.

Users are advised to back up their private key and NEAR account ID from the app, claim earned SWEAT, withdraw funds from Grow Jars when preferred, and move any balances on Ethereum, Base, BSC, or Arbitrum to another wallet under their control. The Foundation recommends completing these steps by December 18th, 2026.

The SWEAT token will continue to exist on NEAR and other EVM chains where it is bridged after the current model ends. However, any unclaimed SWEAT and Grow Jar balances with yield calculated as of December 30th, 2026, will be sent to the NEAR account that owns them.

Oleg Fomenko, CEO of The Sweat Foundation, expressed pride in what SWEAT achieved, but acknowledged disappointment at not reaching sustainable profitability. He thanked users and token holders for their participation over the last four years.
