Swiss Companies Test Programmable Payments with New Stablecoin
Nine Swiss companies have joined the sandbox testing of CHFD, a Swiss franc stablecoin. The pilot aims to explore the use of programmable payments for fraud reduction on online marketplaces, ensuring fair access to event tickets, and increasing efficiency in public payments.
The initiative, which launched in April, has added two new partners: financial market operator SIX and payment app TWINT.
The testing phase will examine whether programmable payments can achieve these goals. The outcome of the pilot is expected to provide valuable insights for the development of CHFD as a stablecoin for digital asset settlement.
