SwissBorg Bypasses Bridge Fees with Direct USDC Deposits on Arc Network
SwissBorg has launched native support for USDC deposits on Arc Network, allowing users to move stablecoins directly onto the chain without going through external bridges.
This integration effectively turns SwissBorg into a direct on-ramp for Arc, which is built from the ground up around stablecoins rather than volatile native tokens. Until now, getting USDC onto Arc meant dealing with third-party bridges like PlaygroundBridge, which charges a dynamic 'launch premium' ranging from 3% to 25% on inbound transfers.
With SwissBorg's integration, users can bypass these costly bridge fees and directly deposit USDC onto the Arc Network. This is particularly important for Arc, which positions itself as a fiat-stable and yield-oriented environment that supports EURC (a euro-denominated stablecoin) and USYC, in addition to USDC.
Arc's design sidesteps the dual-token requirement found on most blockchains, where users must hold both the native gas token and their desired asset. Instead, Arc uses USDC as its gas token, eliminating the need for a separate native asset.
