Swyftx Names Permanent CEO and Chair Amid Regulatory Compliance

Crypto exchange Swyftx has formally appointed Andrea Yuen as its permanent CEO and Cathryn Lyall as chair. Both had been serving in these roles on an interim basis since April, following the departure of Jason Titman.

Titman was previously both CEO and executive chair at Swyftx before his exit. Meanwhile, Yuen had been working alongside co-founder Alex Harper, who will resume his duties as an executive director after stepping down from acting CEO duties.

Yuen has a strong background in finance, having spent over ten years as a partner at PwC and nearly nine years as managing director at Lazard. Lyall, on the other hand, joined Swyftx's board in September 2024 and is currently a partner at Seed Space Venture Capital.

The appointments come after Swyftx secured an Australian Financial Services Licence in July, aligning with new regulatory requirements for crypto exchanges.
