Symbiosis Recovers 15 BTC After Bitcoin Bridge Exploit
Symbiosis, a cross-chain protocol, has successfully recovered approximately 15 BTC after an attacker exploited its native Bitcoin Bridge.
The vulnerability was discovered on September 11th at around 04:28 UTC and only affected the Bitcoin Bridge, with other routes and components remaining operational.
The protocol's security team reported that they are still in the process of finalizing accounting and will publish confirmed figures in a future update.
A separate report from Blockaid found that the attacker sold around 4.39 WBTC on Ethereum, realizing approximately $336,000 in proceeds at the time of their alert.
