Two US Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) docket documents have revealed that Take-Two Interactive, the company behind Rockstar Games, is considering a proposed in-game currency called Sharkbux for Grand Theft Auto VI.

The documents describe Sharkbux as a restricted in-game currency that would not be freely transferable by players, but rather through company-controlled mechanisms. The proposal also suggests using Solana's SPL-token architecture.

However, the files do not provide conclusive evidence of Take-Two or Rockstar's involvement, and the named wallet associated with the documents does not authenticate the companies' connection to the proposed currency.

The documents were submitted to the SEC on August 18 and 24, respectively. The proposal for Sharkbux as a Solana-based token has sparked speculation about the potential integration of cryptocurrency into GTA VI.
