ZRO Surges 20% as LayerZero Unveils Optimized Trading Infrastructure
LayerZero's utility token ZRO surged nearly 20% in value after the company unveiled its ATLAS trading infrastructure, which aims to streamline and optimize trading processes. The platform, launched on August 25, offers an all-in-one backend for trading platforms, handling order matching, clearing, settlement, and risk management in a single system.
ATLAS is designed as a 'headless' exchange infrastructure, allowing third-party operators to build their own user-facing interfaces. The platform supports spot trading and perpetual futures at launch, with plans to expand into other asset classes like stocks and options in the future.
The success of ATLAS has tied ZRO's value directly to the platform's revenue, as venues operating on the system can stake ZRO to unlock tiered fee rebates. Additionally, 75% of all fees collected after rebates are routed into a buy-and-burn mechanism that permanently removes ZRO from circulation.
