Tamil Nadu Man Dies by Suicide Amid Crypto Scam that Stole ₹25 Crore
A Raja, a 25-year-old man from Dindigul in Tamil Nadu, India, died by suicide after being pressured to return money invested in a suspected crypto and multi-level marketing scam.
The scheme promised quick double returns through FQL Investment Trading, the FQL Exchange App, and VG Investment Group Syndicate, but things unraveled when people lost access to their funds.
Investors were lured with cash and digital payments, which were then converted into Tether (USDT) and moved to linked wallets.
The Economic Offenses Wing is now investigating the case after at least ₹25 crore went missing. Police have frozen 13 bank accounts and filed six cases across Tamil Nadu.
