Tate's Hype Move Fuels Buyback Demand
Hyperliquid, a protocol that transforms Circle's reserve yield into direct HYPE buyback demand, has reached an agreement to receive all AQA yield generated by Circle's $6.07 billion treasury. This transformation is expected to increase HYPE's burn rate by 25% relative to its current average.
According to Hyperliquid, this new source of recurring demand for HYPE will strengthen the protocol's tokenomics and create greater opportunities for burning HYPE. The mechanism has been designed to scale directly with the size of Circle's reserves, allowing purchase power for burns to increase as more assets are deposited.
Meanwhile, Andrew Tate has moved 20,950 HYPE tokens worth approximately $1.87 million to Binance, but it is unclear if they were sold. The remaining balance of 63,550 HYPE tokens, worth around $5.62 million, is still out of exchange.
