Taurus Expands Crypto Custody Platform to Meet US Infrastructure Sovereignty Demands
Taurus, a Swiss financial-technology company, is expanding its digital-asset custody platform to meet growing demands for infrastructure sovereignty in the US. The company has partnered with MPCH, a New York-based provider of cryptographic infrastructure and managed secure sites.
The partnership allows banks, government agencies, and other regulated institutions to deploy Taurus' HSM-based custody platform within high-security facilities operated by MPCH. This arrangement gives these institutions a domestically hosted option without transferring control of their private-key technology or cryptographic processes to MPCH.
Taurus will retain responsibility for the HSMs and cryptographic operations, while MPCH controls the physical perimeter and supporting infrastructure. This separation may appeal to institutions seeking to avoid concentrating software, keys, physical custody, and operational control with one provider.
The partnership addresses a growing demand for infrastructure sovereignty, resilience, and data residency in the US financial sector. Taurus has already demonstrated its technology's compatibility with US regulations through partnerships with institutions such as State Street.
