Tech Giants Apple and Google Ramp Up Stablecoin Expertise
Apple and Google are expanding their work in payments and digital finance by hiring experts in stablecoins, tokenized deposits, and blockchain infrastructure. While neither company has announced plans to issue a stablecoin, they are recruiting senior staff with relevant expertise for various roles.
Apple is seeking an Apple Pay Financial Product Strategy Lead in the US, who will assess new financial products, commercial models, and partnerships. The role requires knowledge of stablecoins, tokenized deposits, and blockchain technology, among other qualifications. Apple offers a base pay range of $149,700 to $280,000.
Google is taking a more technical approach by hiring an Industry Principal Architect for Web3 in Hong Kong. This role will support banks, exchanges, custodians, and other Google Cloud customers across Asia Pacific. The company wants experience with real-world asset tokenization, stablecoin rails, tokenized deposits, and digital asset custody.
