Telegram Founder Pavel Durov Charged with Aiding Terrorism in Russia

Russia's Federal Security Service has charged Telegram founder Pavel Durov with aiding terrorism under a Russian Criminal Code provision.

The FSB issued an international arrest warrant for Durov, which can lead to up to life in prison if convicted.

Durov is accused of leaving up channels and bots on the platform that were used to plan sabotage, mass killings, and cyber fraud inside Russia, resulting in 'numerous casualties' and 'material damage running into the billions.'

The charge comes as Telegram deepens its own crypto plans, including a native non-custodial wallet for Gram (GRAM), which traded near $1.41 on Wednesday.
