Telegram's Wallet Rebranding Brings New Features to Crypto Users
Telegram's rebranded wallet service, Walt, has expanded its offerings to include over 300 supported assets and various financial products. The move comes as Telegram prepares to extend its separate Gram wallet to users.
The Gram wallet is designed for everyday transactions within the app, allowing users to buy, send, transfer funds, and pay for services offered through Telegram apps. Meanwhile, Walt offers a range of trading and holding options, including tokenized assets, perpetual futures, and yield products.
Andrew Rogozov, founder and CEO of The Open Platform, which built Walt, stated that the rebranding follows four years of product additions, including Earn and perpetual trading. He added that Walt will continue to operate alongside Telegram's native wallet, while developing tools for users who want access to trading and other crypto products.
