Tempo Integrates Open USD for Enterprise-Focused Payments
Tempo, a Layer 1 blockchain developed by Stripe and Paradigm, has integrated Open USD (OUSD), a stablecoin backed by Bridge and BlackRock. This integration brings over $400 million in liquidity to Tempo, positioning it as a hub for enterprise payments and treasury operations.
OUSD's unique economics are designed to be partner-friendly, with zero mint or redeem fees and no volume caps. Enterprises can move large sums without incurring significant costs, and partners can capture nearly all of the reserve earnings.
Tempo is notable for its low transaction fees, averaging below $0.001 per transaction. The blockchain also features a built-in stablecoin decentralized exchange and Fee Automated Market Maker, designed to facilitate smooth liquidity flows.
