Term Finance Vault Exploited for $8.5 Million
Term Finance, an Ethereum-based fixed-rate lending platform, has been hacked for approximately $8.5 million in digital assets from one of its vaults.
The exploit targeted the platform's Term Vault and resulted in the loss of 2,843 ETH (worth roughly $6.9 million) and 1.68 million USDC. The stolen USDC was subsequently swapped for DAI, according to on-chain data.
Term Finance is known for its fixed-rate, fixed-term lending model, which offers more predictable interest rates compared to variable-rate DeFi protocols.
