Tether Eyes Digital Gold Status with AI Expansion Plans

Tether, the issuer of the world's largest stablecoin USDT, is expanding its business beyond digital assets. According to CEO Paolo Ardoino, Tether sees itself as a digital dollar and digital gold company.

Ardoino stated that unequal access to artificial intelligence (AI) could widen economic gaps in emerging markets such as Africa and South America. To address this issue, Tether plans to enter the AI business by providing lightweight AI services that can run on ordinary smartphones.
